Synopsis
A limited series “I promessi sposi”, based on Alessandro Manzoni’s novel, is a history drama with extravagant production and a stellar cast. The story revolves around Renzo and Lucia, fiancées whose love is threatened by the evil Don Rodrigo. The show faithfully shows social and political tensions of the 17th century. Thanks to its landscapes and architecture, Istria faithfully “plays” Italian villages and landscapes of the time.
