Poreč is a tourist destination on the west coast of Istria. The old town still preserves the Roman layout of streets, towers and squares, and the 6th-century Euphrasian Basilica is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The small island of Sveti Nikola with hotels, beautiful beaches and vegetation is a five-minute boat ride away.
