The sotry is about their turbulent relationship, unraveling taboos and raunchy encounters, including sexual adventures in a circus, a dinner with naked entertainers and shocking moments of degradation. It has achieved a major commercial success, grossing around 18 million dollars and becoming the 17th most watched title in the USA in 1970. For several years, Mattsson was criticized because of his films, and “Ann och Eve - De erotiska” was his kind of revenge because one of the characters spew bile at the critics.
