Synopsis
“Anna K.” is the first original Russian TV show produced by Netflix. It is a modern adaptation of Tolstoy's Anna Karenina, set in contemporary Russia. The main protagonist, a member of the elite and the wife of the future mayor, embarks on a passionate affair with the heir to an aluminium empire. The love affair threatens to destroy the family, society and identity. The show explores how far we can go for love and what we are ready to lose to get it.
