Synopsis

“Around the World in 80 Days”, based on a famous novel written by Jules Verne, brings the adventure of Phileas Fogg, who bets that he will travel around the world in 80 days. Fogg is played by young Pierce Brosnan, who will later become famous for his role of James Bond. Legendary Christopher Lee also plays in the movie. Istria was the backdrop for part of Verne's world - Brosnan's Fogg enters the Pula Arena, placing Pula on the film map as a place which “plays” ancient Rome.
