Synopsis

In the history drama “Bronte: cronaca di un massacro che i libri di storia non hanno raccontato” by Florestano Vancini, Sv. Lovreč and Dvigrad got their first movie role in 1972. The locations in Istria were chosen not only because of costs, but also for the authenticity which was better suited for the historical period of contemporary Bronte. Numerous locals took part in the filming. In 1860, there is an uprising in Bronte, Sicily. In order to establish order, Garibaldi sends general Nino Bixio, who declares state of siege and imposes strict economic sanctions.
