FILMS - Camino

“Camino”, directed by Brigitte Stearmose, is an emotional Danish drama which follows a father and a daughter on their pilgrimage to Camino de Santiago, filled with silence, tension and their unresolved relationship. The daughter takes on the task after her mother’s dying wish and invites her father to cross the road together. It is 98 minutes long, combining emotional moments with the words of psychological reconciliation. This poetic narrative form follows the characters’ inner landscape more than the landscapes themselves, although the filming follows a journey through the Spanish landscapes embodied by Istria.
