Dvigrad consists of the ruins of a medieval town in Limska Draga. Originally, there were two towns: the current ruins are the remains of the northern town of Moncastello, and the second, Castel Parentino, was abandoned in the 10th century. Dvigrad has the unique architecture of a medieval town surrounded by walls and towers along the entrance gate.
