Kloštar is a village located ten kilometers east of Vrsar, above the Lim Channel. There are ruins of the Benedictine monastery of St. Michael above Lim, which was founded in the 10th century and soon became the center of a large estate. Next to the monastery is a hiking trail with steps carved into the rock that leads to the sea in Lim.
