Synopsis

In 1962, Bale shined as a movie location for the first time in comedy “La leggenda di Fra’ Diavolo”, whose story is based on a historic person - Neapolitan hero Michele Pezza, known as Fra’ Diavolo, who stood against French occupation. The landscapes of Bale faithfully depicted southern Italy from the 18th century, and numerous local extras appeared on film for the first time. Particularly noteworthy are the shots of the pristine nature of Bale and its surroundings.
