Synopsis
“La predstava”, directed by Eric Ušić and Teo Morosin, follows a theater troupe of the Resistance during the war as it travels and performs in deserted villages despite dangers. The main character Rino, a talented actor and playwright, struggles with artistic dilemmas about the meaning of theater in times of war. When a young courier Anna learns about an enemy attack, she embarks on a dangerous journey to protect her troupe and carry the news in time. The story takes place during World War II somewhere in Istria, and in addition to partisans, there are also actors, musicians, characters from “The Lord of the Rings”, vegans, a printmaker, a brave female courier, and a ghost. It was awarded at local festivals and recognized as an exceptional contribution to the Novi vodnjanski filmski val movement.
