Letaj is a picturesque place at the foot of the slopes of Učka. There was a castle there from the 11th to the 17th centuries, and in the 16th century the church of St. James was built. The Letaj dam was built in 1970 on the Boljunčica river. The neighboring Šušnjevica is the center of Vlach speakers, and there is also the church of St. John the Baptist from 1838.
