Parenzana is today an attractive sports and recreational trail along which magical Istrian landscapes open up, and it consists of a renovated section of the historic railway of the same name that connected Poreč with Trieste. Nine tunnels have been dug along the route, and there are 16 bridges, six viaducts and several overpasses.
