Synopsis

The short feature film “President Nixon’s present”, directed by Igor Šeregi is set in early 1970, when two Yugoslav intelligence officers are given an unusual task - to transport a gift from American President Nixon to Tito. Stipe and Peđa need to make sure that President Nixon’s present is delivered to the Yugoslavian President. The problem arises when it turns out that the present is a living creature (or, at least, it used to be). The film humorously addresses the political reality of the time and diplomacy. It was premiered at festivals such as Motovun, Split, Pula and Vilnius.
