Pula Amphitheatre is the most important monument from the Roman period in Istria and one of the best preserved amphitheatres in the world. The Pula Amphitheatre was built in the 1st century and could accommodate 23,000 spectators. Today, it hosts the Pula Film Festival and concerts by world music stars.
