Rakalj is located in the southeast of Istria, and Stari Rakalj is located east of the current settlement on a hill, above Cape Sveti Nikola in the Raška Bay. It is a prehistoric hillfort, an ancient fortress and a medieval castle, and the church of St. Agnes has been preserved to this day, from where beautiful views can be enjoyed.
