Raša is a mining town on the eastern coast of Istria and the youngest town built on the peninsula. It was built for the needs of the mines in the 1930s during the Italian administration in the Fascist era. It was designed by architect Gustav Pulitzer Finali. In addition to the workers' houses, there is also a square with the church of St. Barbara and a bell tower resembling a miner's lamp.
