“Rat mal, wer zur Hochzeit kommt” is a German TV romantic comedy made in 2012. Lisa and Hrvoje, who are in love, face problems when Hrvoje’s strictly religious mother insists on a wedding in Croatia with traditional ceremonies. But Lisa’s parents, former hippies and divorced, want to avoid the circus. In the end, they pretend to be a harmonious couple at the ceremony, but old patterns become suspicious when Theresa discovers that Hrvoje may already have a child. The film brings humour and through intercultural differences, parental prejudices and unexpected plots, manages to bring together family and tradition.
