Synopsis

An Italian war comedy directed by Nanni Loy about an Italian prisoner Rosolino Paternò, who becomes a guide to an American commando team thrown into Sicily to locate German positions. It turns out that there is no enemy artillery. The mission results in obscure battles and unexpected bombing. The cast is led by the witty Nino Manfredi, surrounded by American actors who will soon become known to a wide audience: Peter Falk, Martin Landau and Jason Robards.
