Synopsis
“Rosso Istria” depicts events in Istria after Italian surrender in 1943, during retreat of the Italian army and arrival of the partisans. The film focuses on the destiny of Norma Cossetto, a student a daughter of a local fascist officer. She is depicted as a victim of violence committed by Yugoslavian partisans. It explores the consequences of the fall of the fascist regime, together with the resulting chaos in the border areas.
