Cape Kamenjak is the southernmost part of Istria, a peninsula with a beautiful and richly indented coast almost four kilometers long, with as many as 30 bays and 11 uninhabited islets that make up the archipelago. Due to its exceptional natural values, but also protection from devastation, it was declared a protected area in 1996.
