Synopsis
“Solo contro Roma”, filmed in the Pula Arena, stands out as a spectacular Italian epic spectacle. As many as four thousand extras participated in the film, and an entire “Roman city” was built in Tomačevo near Ljubljana for filming purposes. War chariots were borrowed from “Ben Hur”, and the horses from Jadran film. It is the story of a local gladiator who instigates an uprising against Roman oppressors.
