Sveti Petar u Šumi is located in the very center of Istria, near Pazin. This place, surrounded by old forests and situated on a hilly plateau, was named after the Benedictine monastery, which was mentioned in historical documents since 1174, and in the 15th century it became a Pauline monastery and has been renovated since 1993.
