Synopsis

“The Girl in the Blue Dress”, a featurette musical-fairy tale directed by Eric Ušić and Teo Morosin, is set in an undefined past or future period. It was fully filmed in Istria. The story follows Francesca, a young girl who runs away from the parental pressure and, wearing her blue dress, embarks on a mythical adventure across an enchanted peninsula. There she meets extraordinary characters who, through song, dance, humour, and mysticism, reveal the meaning of life to her. The film, inspired by the lockdown, gave us a fresh and low-budget expression and an impressive start of the “Novi vodnjanski filmski val” movement.
