Synopsis
“The Long Ships” is an important turning point for the development of the film tourism in Istria. Filmed in an impressive Lim Channel, which is why the area is still colloquially called the "Viking Fjord", the film brought a real Viking atmosphere. On the site, a complete Viking village was built. The impressive scenography left an important mark: even today, numerous restaurants’ names preserve the memory of glorious film days. The story of the quest for the “Mother of All Voices”, the legendary gold bell tower, was the largest co-production project in Yugoslavia at the time.
