Synopsis
“The Playlist” is a Netflix 6-episode limited fictional story about Spotify. It uses different viewpoints - founders, investors, developers and musicians to tell the dynamic and dramatic version of true events. Even though it is based on the book “Spotify Untold”, the authors had no direct access to the main actors. A controversial interpretation of Daniel Ek, as well as the technological challenges and the idea of the “autonomous teams”, which shaped the so-called Spotify model, were particularly interesting.
