Synopsis
“The Day My Father Became a Bush”, directed by Nicole van Kilsdonk is the adaptation of Joke van Leeuwen’s novel. It is the story of a 10-year-old Toda who, after her father is drafted into the army, embarks on a challenging journey to find her mother. On her way, she meets unusual characters who shape her journey through a war-torn world and present different aspects of the adults and their roles in the society and conflicts.
