Synopsis
“Twilight Time”, directed by Goran Paskaljević, was filmed in 1982 in Draguć, and it is famous thanks to a legendary American Oscar-winning actor Karl Malden, who received his golden statue in 1952 for the role of Mitch in “A Streetcar Named Desire”. The story follows Marko, an eldrely man who returns from the USA to a deserted Istrian village, where only old people and children remain. When his son and daughter-in-law leave to Germany, Marko takes care of his grandchildren, keeping from them the fact that their parents have abandoned them forever. It depicts the silence of departures and the strength of family ties in a touching manner.
