Synopsis
After her husbandss death, Elsa is left with a pile of debts and practically without a home, except for a building in her husband’s hometown Opatija and his desire to “make something of a house”. She inherits an old villa and wants to renew it, but her journey is filled with misunderstandings, chase for her late husband’s urn, a stolen car and emotional crises. It was filmed in 2012 in Munich and at numerous locations in Croatia. It slowly and emotionally uncovers three generations of female characters. Visually, it honours the Adriatic and its coast.
